MARY MORRIS MOUNT BAKER ARTIST POINT PORTRAIT SESSION
Mount Baker’s Artist Point is truly one of my favorite places on earth! The breathtaking views of both Mount Baker and Mount Shuksan are incredible, and only beat by the fact it is so easy to access in the summertime with a road that takes you right to them!
For years now, I’ve wanted to host portrait sessions up at my secret spot at Artist Point, but timing and weather have not been on my side. However, for 2022, I was determined to make it happen, but I wanted to give it a practice run before I advertised it to my community.
That’s where my dear friend Mary comes in! I asked her to model for me and try out this mountain portrait session idea, to see if it would work and what type of session could be expected. She had never been to Artist Point before, so it was a real treat sharing it with her for the first time!
We snuck up to my secret spot that has the best views for photos, but NO people, and I put her in one of my gowns and she just did her thing spinning, posing, and living her best life in a gown on top of a mountain! Needless to say, she proved that my idea for a Mount Baker Portrait session was a fantastic idea!

Mary is an INCREDIBLE watercolor artist (it is what she does for a living after all)!!
I asked her to bring her sketchbook + paints to the mountain so I could capture her in action in a beautiful spot so we could do a teeny-weeny mini lifestyle branding photoshoot! She did not disappoint! She sketched and colored Mount Shuksan in under 10 min! A true talent!
Mary wanted to take a few pictures of me too, so of course I was all about that! My pup Ziggy was there too! We truly had the BEST mountain day!
